The dining room has a huge open fireplace to while
away an evening over dinner with plenty of room for
everyone to enjoy a sit down meal. In addition there
is a table and chairs in the large country style kitchen.
The
kitchen, although not modern, is fully equipped with
all you need for your stay - with a fridge-freezer,
dishwasher, double electric oven and cooktop, microwave,
crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, including
a food processor and electric beater. An additional
bar fridge for any drinks frees up the kitchen fridge.
The kitchen pantry is generally pretty well stocked
with basics such as vinegars and olive oil, tea bags
etc. which we ask that you replace if you use them.
There
is a 4 burner gas barbeque which is generally stored
on the back covered area outside the kitchen, but
can be easily wheeled out onto the deck or the front
verandah. |

The lounge room has plenty of comfortable seating,
a television with a dvd player and stereo. Heating
is provided by a very effective wood burning stove.
There is enough wood for both fires. From here you
can exit through the French doors onto the timber
deck which runs right down the northern side of the
house, around to the back door and takes in the fantastic
views down over the Duckmaloi Valley and the magnificent
night sky.
The
bathroom consists of a toilet, shower and bath, a
separate shower and double sink (all can be used separately).
There is an outside toilet and a laundry with a third
"bush" shower.
Oberon
is a 10 minute drive from the guest house, where there
is a supermarket, bakeries, newsagent and a chemist
(only open until lunch time on Saturday). There is
also a hospital.
The
guesthouse is a family home, we hope our visitors
will respect our home and its contents and leave it
neat and tidy on departure. |
